Description:
SOLD: The Flying Scot is a perfect family sailboat. It can also be sailed single-handed. The Scot is stable due to its wide seating and side deck. It can take a strong breeze with little or no water in the boat and the seats are self-draining. The Scot is easy to rig, launch, and sail. The Flying Scot is a safe, unsinkable, and stable sailboat good for day sailing.
The Flying Scot is 19 feet long overall and its beam is 6 feet 9 inches. The Flying Scot weighs 850 pound and is easily trailerable. It can be sailed with the main sail with a jib sail and it can fly a spinnaker. Due to the Scot as a one design (virtually identical in design) boat it is a competitive racer as well and there are many active racing fleets across the country. One very active and successful fleet is located at the lake Keowee Sailing Club in Seneca, SC.
My Scot is hull number 916. It has been refinished top side in a beautiful rich blue. The hull is tan in color. It comes with day-sailing main and jib sails and their lines. There are also two spinnakers and the spinnaker pole.
I am selling my Flying Scot, sails, lines, and trailer for $3,500. It is ready to sail today.
