Description:

SOLD (Thanks to everyone who showed interest in the boat) Contessa 26 sailboat for sale. Built in Canada by J.J. Taylor. Coastguard documented vessel. This legendary design is based on the folkboat, and several of these have made solo circumnavigations. Modified full keel, with transom-hung "barn-door" rudder. 4 berths, enclosed head. "Moksha" was built in 1974. The boat sails great, but it is in fair condition and it needs some TLC. Great candidate for restoration. The boat's built is solid (no blisters). Recently surveyed.

Equipment:

New dacron mainsail with one reefing point, working jib, storm jib, and spinnaker. 5 hp Nissan gas outboard. Compass, Garmin GPS, sounder, and VHF radio. Anchor with plenty of chain and rode. Additional stern anchor. Full boat cover. Icebox, sink with new hand pump faucet. Single burner electric/alcohol Kenyon stove. Wired for shore power with 120v panel. 12 gallon fresh water and waste tanks, built-in. Head has been recently serviced. Y-valve installation. New battery, New ProMariner ProSport 6 battery charger, new automatic bilge pump with float switch. High-capacity hand-operated bilge pump. No inboard, but Shaft, propeller, water trap, exhaust hose from earlier installation are all there, as well as a throttle control for the engine.

The boat will need a new bottom paint job and new cushions, varnishing here and there, new cabinet doors below, and probably new portlights (the current ones are hazy).
