New salt water bottom paint was added in Spring 2020.
In May 2020, we bought a brand new upgraded trailer for her and she was transported to her new and current home in the Florida Keys, where she lives in dry storage on the trailer between our visits. We spent 6 weeks living aboard in The Keys in June/July of 2020 when we also updated the paper charts and Plotter/GPS software for Florida & The Keys, and re-registered her as a Florida boat.
Over the last three years we have added $19,800 of upgrades, modifications, improvements, equipment items, plus we had the rigging system professionally upgraded.
We have spent numerous extended multi-week or month-long live-aboard vacations on this boat, which is very roomy and comfortable for a couple, on Lake Powell, Lake Havasu, Lake Dillon, and most recently The Florida Keys."
UPGRADES AND ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT:
NEW TANDEM AXLE MACGREGOR ALUMINUM TRAILER WITH SURGE BRAKES ($4,390)
Brilliant redesign which gives far better support for the boat than the original MacGregor single axle steel trailer. This one is made of aluminum, - so no rusting concerns. The trailer was built in Spring 2020, and has only 3000 miles use. It is fitted with padded bunks, both axles have surge brakes, it has submersible lights, a ladder, winch system, goalpost guides, bow safety chain, and a tongue jack.
FULL COCKPIT ENCLOSURE ($2,967)
Full cockpit enclosure, includes the Dodger, Bimini, rear windows, side windows, mid connector top, and mid connector windows. This is everything you need to fully enclose the cockpit, with snaps fitted for secure and cozy weatherproofing. The enclosure creates another room on the boat! We have even slept out on the cockpit seats very comfortably inside the enclosure. The boat can still be operated for sailing if you remove the mid connector (to attach main sheet) and the mid connector windows.
CANVAS DODGER SCREEN DOORS ($219)
Enjoy peaceful nights, free from bugs but with plenty of ventilation, with these zip-up screen doors.
MACSTACK SYSTEM with MAINSAIL COVER & LAZY JACKS ($599)
Stacking Cover for the Mainsail. Easy way to handle the mainsail, store it neatly and keep it safely protected. This allows you to just lower the mainsail directly into the mainsail cover and simply zip the top closed. Lazy jacks contain the sail on the way down as it folds into the mainsail cover. Works best with halyards led aft, - which is also fitted
RIGGING UPGRADE & COCKPIT CONTROL HALYARD SYSTEM ($2000)
The Halyards are led aft to the cockpit for safer and easier control without having to move forward onto the deck. This was part of a full professional rigging overhaul and improvement by Dillon Marina, Colorado.
MAINSAIL SLIDES AND STOP ($95)
We added mainsail sail slides and a sail slide stop, to the aft led halyard system, to complete a much smoother, quicker and easier hoisting and downhaul system which allows for total control of the mainsail without going forward onto the cabin top. We found this invaluable, - especially useful in moderate to heavy winds or foul weather.
JIB ROLLER FURLING SYSTEM ($1420)
STERN RAIL SEATS ($749)
17 GALLON FUEL TANK UPGRADE ($379)
AND MUCH MORE.....
