| Description: |
The Cape Dory 26 is an exceptionally well-suited family cruiser. She's a super sailing, quality-built yacht with plenty of comfort. The CD26 has a tall rig and large foretriangle, making her especially powerful to windward. Below decks her interior is spacious well-ventilated, and easily accommodates four adults plus gear. A totally a freshwater boat. Sailed in Lake Erie until May 2009. Currently sailed in Lake Huron. She is set up for single handed sailing.
Spacious V-Berth forward with built in storage cabinet just aft to port. Porta Potti opposite to starboard. A full-length bulkhead (draw curtain) separates the forward V-Berth from the salon, which includes a shelf for books etc. The salon features duel settees with storage shelves port and starboard. A single sink with hand pump is located to port complete with countertop, a built in paper towel dispenser above and storage drawer below with alcohol stove. A hinged countertop is opposite to starboard with Igloo Ice box below. The Cape Dory 26 features a built-in motor well, providing easy, close by access for the helmsman plus a safe, dry place for a 15 h.p.outboard. The concealed outboard retains the design integrity of the CD26 with her graceful sheer, moderate overhang fore and aft and low trunk cabin with bronze ports. |
