36' J Boats J/36
1982 Port Washington New York 36 J Boats J/36
Super fun and solid classic J-boat racer-cruiser. Bought from the original owners family 5 years ago, and have been restoring it slowly since then. I have done lots of work, bought new sails, tons of new rigging and hardware, and have loads of fun cruising and racing Betegeuse. You can sleep 6 for a fun overnight or race with between 6 and 8. Has a small head and galley is generally comfy down below. This is the predecessor to the J/35, with the same hull mold but fitted out with a more complicated and taller rig, and I think originally more amenities down below. J/boats 3rd boat J/24 - J/30, J/36), when powered up its a blast. Deck is in great shape. Hull was professionally media-blasted, faired, and epoxy coated in 2022. Selling because life is moving on. It was a great project, and time for something new. I can share a much more detailed summary of the boat condition on request. $20k OBO.

If you are in the market for this size of a boat, you have found a gem. And always in freshwater!!! Rare to find a boat in this condition. We were delighted to find her 7 years ago and we are passing her along in even better shape than we found her. FAST-FUN-GREAT SAILING We have owned this boat since 2019 and have loved it from day one. If we were not looking to move to a larger boat, we would not sell her. In fact, it will still be hard for us to let her go, but we have made our decision and we hope to find a new owner(s) who will enjoy her like we did. We have tried to include as much as we could think of on these lists but I am available for questions as well. Thank you for looking! Fair Winds! PS. She has been a coastal and Island cruiser for the past 32 years, making over 25 passages to the Bahamas and northern Atlantic, a solid yacht that will serve her new owners well for many years to come. Papillon" was purchased as a home and a long-distance stable cruiser, and she has provided both. We have cruised her from Baltimore, through the Bahamas, and as far south as the Dominican Republic. She is loved and well cared for and currently docked in St. Augustine ready for her next adventure, north or south. Sailed her all over Lake Erie and have enjoyed the trip. So much to see and too much list. Will be happy to provide entire list and to show boat. Always been fresh water. Sailboat also comes with a full storage unit of sailing and boating items that have been collected over the past 25 years. Tons of hardware, wood, tools, misc. Also a full dock box is included. She is USCG Documented and comes fully stocked with all safety equipment. Just added more weight to keel last summer. She is a very heavy boat that sails like a dream in all weather. Great family boat with lots of room and space. Fully chest freezer for the keel cooled cooler and freezer unit. Lots of storage in galley with double sink and plenty of DC lighting thru out cabin. Overall, a very fine vessel with many upgrades and worth a look if your a serious cruiser or want to take her South.

37' Nauticat Pilothouse NC37
2003 Shelter Bay Marina Panama Outside United States 37 Nauticat Pilothouse NC37
Among pilothouse sailboats, the Nauticat 37 is considered one of the best designs with an attractive profile and roomy interior while offering respectable sailing performance. Solidly built in Finland in 2003 by Nauticat Shipyard (previously Siltala Yachts) in Northern European workmanship in build-quality and joinery. Three Rivers is a comfortable blue water sailboat ideal for extended cruises or live-aboard. Her large pilothouse with a raised saloon provides a bright living space with excellent all-around visibility, also perfect for keeping watches and navigating in the open seas in safety and comfort. Featuring a large aft-stateroom, a V-berth, and two heads, a saloon and galley, the NC37 has comparable living space as many 40 footers. Although a 2003 model, commissioning for this boat was finished in 2008, as evidenced by factory sign-off papers. Her previous owners sailed her across the Atlantic 10 years ago, and she has been lightly used since. I bought her four years ago. She has been diligently maintained and is in very good condition, with many recent upgrades and refurbishments. The boat is currently lying in the Atlantic side of Panama at Shelter Bay Marina, an excellent resort-grade full-service marina near the entrance of the Canal. I have enjoyed using this as my home-base for this excellent cruising area. However, my plans have changed and 3Rivers is in turn-key condition for a new owner to enjoy the beautiful cruising grounds of the Caribbean. Or, sail her back to Europe, or to the east or west coasts of America, and start your dream of a lifetime! This link to plenty of pics and videos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/khmnczf48KFbv9J36

25' Pacific Seacraft 25
1978 Colorado Springs Colorado 25 Pacific Seacraft 25
Sturdy well maintained freshwater trailer sailor ready to go. Selling due to purchase of a larger boat for extended cruising. If I had the time to keep and sail both I would, but I'd rather someone else continue to enjoy and take care of her. Background: Purchased 3 years ago (saw very little use with previous owner since 2013). Do not have a complete history, but based on conversations with PO and documentation aboard there is evidence of 3 owners including me. Have been to the Florida Keys (Marathon) twice and a trip to the Puget Sound (Olympia to Port Townsend). At cruising weight (tools, provisions, etc), boat & trailer weighs 7000lbs. Highway towing with a stock 5.7L 2011 Toyota Tundra 4x4 maintaining posted speed limits is not an issue. Heavy, but does sail well in winds above 8kts. Have been out single handing sustained mid-high 20s with gusts into 30s and felt safe. Settles in at about 10 degrees heel angle. Received second place in the 2023 Lake Pueblo Sailing Club Commodores Cup w/ PHRF rating of 312. This model is also featured in Twenty Small Sailboats to Take You Anywhere by John Vigor if you're interested in more model specific details Overall: No soft spots. All portlights and hatches seal completely (no leaks). Some hairline gelcoat cracks typical of age but no excessive crazing. Fuel tank removed for inspection and in serviceable condition but never used. I use a small aux tank located in lazarette (estimate .15-.2 gallons per hour based on logs). Water tank removed for inspection and repair, replaced with 29 gal flexible (removable) water bladder with vented/pressurized electric faucet in galley. Engine: Starts and runs without issue. Yanmar YSB-8 with 400 hrs. Note: purchased with hour meter inop. PO replaced old engine with (290 hr freshwater engine). I have detailed hours mx logs, which is what I use to keep track of current hours.

Price reduced $150k! Owner says SELL!! His New Carbon/Kevlar Catamaran has been delivered. Even tho he has spent a ton on Holani II, its time... "Hiolani II" has been a one owner boat since her original construction. Warren Seaman and Alfred Kumalae (the "S" and "K" in CSK catamarans) were involved in the building of this high quality boat. The family has maintained the boat in excellent condition over the years. Hiolani was built for performance in that era of catamarans. She has Asymmetrical hulls for speed (20 knots). Her rigging was brought to a very high standard due to the owners owned a sail loft and they had a rigger in the family which kept her up to racing standards but used Hiolani sparingly over the many years of ownership. Hiolani was launched in 1988 and was always kept at the California Yacht club in Marina Del Rey. Hiolani is a very special boat and the owners spared no expense keeping her up. I purchased Hiolani in August 2017 and I have been updating her ever since. She comes with an unbelievable set of records/plans and receipts! Over $60k was spent on her a few years before I purchased her, and I less than 3 years ago spent over $100k. Yes you read that correctly!

1984 St Joseph Michigan 39.7 Wiggers Custom Yachts J/N 39
1984 Wiggers J/N 39 Fractional One-Ton "Encore" The Joubert/Nivelt 39 Wiggers Lager 40 One Ton is the limited production version of Diva, a boat which swept the IOR in 1983, winning the Fastnet Race, Admiral's Cup, SORC, and other major events. For notes on the history of the design, see rbsailing.blogspot.com/2013/04a-joubertnivelt-one-tonner.html Encore was originally delivered to San Diego and later made her way to Lake Michigan. She sailed out of Michigan City, Indiana for many years and was purchased in 2011 by a passionate racer in St Joseph, Michigan. Under his ownership, she was extensively refurbished in both hull and deck, all wet core was removed and replaced with the deck, bottom, and hull professionally fared and refinished. Today she is an absolutely solid boat. You can sound any part of her structure without worry. The decks have Kiwi-Grip non-skid, beautifully refinished. The scariest part of buying an old boat is fixed on this one; she is solid. The bottom was faired and coated with epoxy barrier coat, as well as multi-season bottom paint. All deck hardware was removed and replaced with Butyl tape bedding. The interior of the boat has not been refurbished, and interior surfaces could use varnish and/or paint. The engine is a Universal Diesel model 5424, an in-line 3 cylinder, with fresh water cooling, serial number 311-603. Hours are unknown. We have done a great deal of work getting her ready for the water, including installing a host of new engine parts, including: - New OEM Facet electric fuel lift pump (old one worked is now a spare) - New impeller for the fresh water pump, old one as a spare - New exhaust hose for run from engine to rear bulkhead - New thermostat, old one as a spare - Rebuilt alternator - New and spare fan belts - New oil pressure sender - New temp sender - New and spare oil filter - New and spare fuel filter - Three spare glow plugs - Fresh antifreeze (engine is fresh water cooled)

14.5' Hunter 146
2005 Concord Massachusetts 14.5 Hunter 146
2005 Hunter 146. A fun and forgiving boat to sail! Our situation just makes it too hard to launch and use, so we've reluctantly decided to sell her. She draws 6" with the centerboard up, 3 feet with it down. The mast can be easily stepped by a single person. More Specs are here: https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/hunter-146/ I've made several improvements: - Installed a boom kicker to keep the boom from dropping to the deck when lowering or reefing the main. The photo of myself and my daughter sailing was before I installed the boom kicker. - Added a breakaway jam cleat to the articulating rudder to avoid damage in case it hits something. - Bought a wind vane which I haven't installed - Fitted a spare tire to the trailer - Bought a new mainsail cover

29' Bayfield 29
1988 Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin 29 Bayfield 29
Great first Boat (&) Go anywhere Boat. Available from NOVEMBER 2025. If youre looking for a first boat thats safe and easy to handle, ready to move up from a smaller sailboat, or dreaming of a go-anywhere cruising boat thats virtually maintenance-free, this might be just right for you. Our sailboat, the Bayfield 29 (Neeru Naayi, which means "Otter" in Kannada), was designed by Ted Gozzard and built in Bayfield, Ontario, Canada. Its purpose-built for comfortable cruisingcapable of handling bluewater passages, coastal sailing, and even the rough Great Lakes, known for their 10-foot waves and sudden storms. With its classic fibreglass hull, clipper bow, sweeping sheer line ending in a bowsprit, deep forefoot, full long keel with attached rudder, and cutter rig, the Bayfield 29 is both elegant and tough. She was our first sailboat, and when we got her, we barely knew how to sail. But she was forgiving, kept us safe through some of the harshest Great Lakes conditions, and helped us become better sailors. The Bayfield 29 is a solidly built vessel with a heavy displacement (around 8,500 pounds), offering a smooth and stable ride. Its shallow draft lets you anchor in many places, while the cutter rigfavoured for offshore cruisingprovides flexible sail handling for anything from light winds to storms. The keel-stepped mast adds to the boats structural integrity. Unlike most boats of this size, the Bayfield 29 doesnt have a V-berth. That space is instead used for a larger head. Sleeping arrangements include two quarter-berths, a single settee berth to port, and a pull-out double berth to starboard, which is easy to set up. The spacious interior features a quality headliner, overhead grabrails, and sliding teak panels for privacy in the main saloon. The galley is to starboard with a two-burner Origo alcohol stove, while the port side houses the icebox and navigation stationeach with a quarter-berth behind. Currently, we sail her across Lakes Michigan, Huron, and Superior. When not in use, shes moored at Sturgeon Bay.

Getting rid my Catalina 22 in favor of a larger cruiser, suited for the type of sailing I want to do. She's free if you can come get her, but if there are no takers I'll be scrapping her soon. I'll add some of the known issues, things which make her unfit for extended cruising: - There's some moisture in the deck, to what extent I'm unsure. - The swing keel is loose around the pivot pin. This is a common Catalina 22 issue. - The motor mount is aging, and should be replaced soon. - The halyards are also aged and could use replacing. - Some of the wood is aging and breaking apart. - There is crazing on much of the deck, and stress cracking in a few spots.

41' Tartan 41 Custom Sparkman & Stephens
1974 Shennecossett Yacht Club 1010 Shennecossett Rd Groton CT 06340Groton Connecticut 41 Tartan 41 Custom Sparkman & Stephens
"PRICE REDUCTION FOR QUICK FALL SALE" Classic S&S custom Tartan 41 that has spent most of the time in fresh water. Heavily modified under the supervision of the original S&S designer including keel and new spade rudder. Custom teak toe rail and interior with teak slat ceilings. Originally owned by the owner of the Shelburne Shipyard and maintained to the highest standards. Not your typical T41. Goes through head seas and to weather with a vengeance. Great boat! First owned by Steele Griswold - former owner of Shelburne Shipyard - Mame is a heavily modified Tartan-41. The hull and deck were ordered unfinished from Tartan Marine in 1974 and delivered to the Shelburne Shipyard where the interior and teak toe rail were installed to Mr. Griswolds specifications. The Tartan 41 was designed by Sparkman & Stephens (S&S) at the request of Charlie Britton, founder of Tartan Marine, Co., who was eager to produce a boat that could compete with the new Nautor Swans. Both were designed by S&S and are almost identical versions of the custom racing sloop Morning Cloud commissioned by Sir Edward Heath. Midway through her racing career Steel Griswold, an engineer by training and a former P-38 fighter pilot hired S&S to oversee the modification of the hull and rudder. The original skeg and rudder were removed, and a new rudder designed to resemble the wing of a P-38 was installed about a foot further aft. The underbody was completely faired with a finer entry forward, and the keel was lengthened to over 7 feet. Two blocks of lead were also removed from the keel to lighted the boat. The mast is a custom tall rig double spreader with Navtec rod rigging and hydraulics. The boat was repowered, and a teak cockpit installed by the second owner complete with Harken electric winches and Raymarine electronics as well as roller furling, windlass, and anchor bow roller. Mame has had a remarkable racing career on Lake Champlain and is still regarded with admiration by the local racing crowd and boat aficionado.

Featured Sailboat:

27' Albin Vega
1978 Long Beach California 27 Albin Vega
This pocket cruiser is the cleanest Albin Vega you will find. No mold or mildew. Several Vegas have circumnavigated. Boat being sold because the owner has moved inland for family. It is well outfitted with a full complement of sails, (including two spinnakers) tools, spares, service manuals, an autopilot, reefed main, harnesses, an inverter, two batteries, two 3600 gph pumps, Jack lines, wetsuits, snorkeling equipment, new running lines, extra lines for sails, and more in a storage locker, and just about everything you need to leave for the south pacific islands tomorrow except 1) Inboard engine work 2) updated electronics and 3) bottom paint. Achilles inflatable (not pictured) is included. Fresh water boat at Lake Coeur dAlene in Idaho for most of its life and was pulled and tarped seasonally so there is a minimal galvanic corrosion and minimal UV damage. Volvo marine MD 7A 13 hp two-cylinder in board with very low hours and original dealer oil fill developed a compression issue two months ago and will not start. Has factory reinforced outboard engine mounting pads. The original gel coat is still intact and the grip surfaces on deck are still sharp. This is hull number 3233 of 3450 built, so unlike earlier hull numbers, it features the later clamshell interior with the nicely finished ceiling, upgraded interior woodwork, improved rudder internal components and the wider coping around the cockpit so you can sit comfortably when heeled. The owner was specifically looking for a Vega and went so far as to have boats surveyed as far away as Newfoundland before finding this gem. Long Beach slips are available in this and adjacent marinas. This keelboat can take you anywhere or you can coastal cruise in ultimate safety. Under 4' draft and a long keel means you can sail offshore, cross oceans and anchor and make passage where other boats cannot go. Albin Vega 27s have been featured in several books, including Log of the Mahina by John Neal. The Vega is also a recommended boat in John Vigors book Twenty Small Sailboats to Take You Anywhere.

40' Beneteau 40CC
1996 Rockland Maine 40 Beneteau 40CC
Yacht for sale now in Maine. Currently cruising the Midcoast and Penobscot Bay. Buy at a bargain price. Quick sale to take advantage of the rest of the Maine cruising season. Will soon be cruising south. The 1996 Beneteau 40cc is a comfortable cruising sailboat perfectly suited to the east coast, ICW, Keys and Bahamas waters. The strong rig and roller furling main and jib make it easy to handle while the center cockpit makes a wonderful at-anchor lounge spot. This example has been actively cruised the last five years by the retired couple who have now decided to go to weather by 747! Buy now and enjoy the rest of the Maine season and cruise south for your sailing dreams. This is not a dock queen, nor a charter boat bunkhouse, but a comfortable on-the-water home with a small guest cabin (that communicates you welcome guests but for a limited time) that has the amenities for comfortable living while riding the weather rhythms to the Bahamas in the winter and Maine in the summer and Chesapeake Bay and Carolina Sounds in the shoulder seasons. The current owners have anchored under the Statue of Liberty, cruised the Chesapeake, anchored for weeks in the Washington Channel while enjoying the cultural feast of our nations capital. And cruised the blue, clear waters of the Keys, Exumas and Abacos for months at a time for pennies (ok dollars, but not hundreds) a day. Upgraded with LiFePO4 house batteries (412 Ah) and solar with new 12v refrigerator compressor/condenser, 3500W Next-Gen diesel generator, 690W of solar on the davits above the convenient stern steps this boat is an off-grid solar miracle with 3000W inverter for your microwave, computers, Internet and streaming that keep the lights on without the noise of generators or the expense of marina dockage. Vessel has been constantly maintained by professional tradesmen (LiFePO4 batteries professionally installed by Tom Chockley of St. Marys, GA), rig tuned and inspected every two years (most recently by Weymouth Rigging in Rockland) with recent barrier coat on the bottom (2021), ablative bottom paint

47' Wauquiez PS47
Since the early 1960's Wauquiez has been producing high quality blue water capable yachts. This broker when searching for a safe voyaging platform to take offshore with his family cruising found another Wauquiez model, the Amphitrite, and was immediately impressed with the build quality and accessibility of systems. Phoenix, built in 2015, was the last PS47 produced before the builder moved to the PS48 model. Both the interior and exterior of Phoenix have been well thought out for functionality offshore as well as at anchor. The original and only owner has painstakingly outfit this boat for serious blue water voyaging and has already logged over 48,000 miles. If you are looking for a pretty boat to enjoy on the dock plugged into shore power this is NOT the boat for you. This vessel has been set up for voyaging long distances and her equipment list reflects this. You will not find a generator or air conditioning, but you will find well organized spare parts for every system onboard. You will find a Watt and Sea 600 watt hydrogenator, a professionally done Victron Lithium battery installation and a 250-amp Balmar alternator negating the need for solar power. You will find a high output watermaker as well as powerful electric winches, rigging and sails designed to turn out 200 mile days offshore. You will find a sheltered well protected cockpit, powerful bow thruster, and bespoke dinghy davits among her list of cruising equipment. When you are finally ready to make a stop, possibly in a 100 deep pacific atoll anchorage, you will sleep well with 125m of high tensile anchor chain connected to a robust 33kg Rocna anchor. Phoenix is nothing short of a thoroughbred offshore workhorse that will take you anywhere in safety and comfort. Her spacious aft cabin with centerline queen berth is a rare find on aft cockpit boats. A large aft head features an enclosed separate shower. The walkthrough galley to port offers ample counterspace and make meal prep both at sea and at anchor a breeze.  Details »

A note on buying and selling safely:
Anytime you buy or sell on the Internet, due to the geographic reach of the ads, be careful of fraud.

It has recently come to our attention that at least one seller has received a scam e-mail offer in which the buyer offered to overpay for the boat and then requests a check for the difference in return - what has come to be known as a classic "Nigeria" scam.

Requests to overpay for the boat and have excess money returned or given to a shipping company are most likely fraudulent -- never do this without consulting with your bank first.

Please always use caution and your best judgment if presented with a deal which doesn't seem logical, and be sure to talk with your bank to be sure all checks and transactions have been completed, cleared, and verified before releasing any property. Be especially careful of any transactions from overseas where such transactions might be reversed after some time due to fraud.

  • Never give your password to anyone. SailboatListings.com will never ask for your password. Any such request is an attempt at phishing.
  • If a new buyer asks you to purchase a boat history report from a third-party website, do not do this. This may be a scam.
  • Contact the buyer or seller by (non-cell) phone as well as online to help confirm their identity.
  • If a boat is not where it says it is, this is a strong indication of fraud.
  • After discussing the details, have the boat surveyed and arrange to see the boat before any money changes hands.
