| Description: |
This one is a "one owner" boat, & equipped for serious cruising. Many Jeanneau 45s are sold for charter. Seldom do you find one purchased, equipped & being cruised privately by her original owner. The Jeanneau 45s are well designed, well built, fast, easily handled, & very responsive & maneuverable. She has a deep fin keel w/a bulb. Displacement is a healthy 20,570 lbs. Ballast is 7,100 lbs. This is a comfortable 3 cabin, 2 head version. She comes w/several significant pluses over other Jeanneau 45s. She has an oversized 75 HP Yanmar diesel w/very low engine hrs at last check. She has a "tall rig" (plus 1.2 meters), for improved performance, especially upwind. She is staysail equipped, a rare but a very welcome addition to an offshore performance cruiser. Both headsail & staysail are on Profurl roller furlers. All sheets & halyards from the 2 headsails & the mast are lead thru turning blocks & lead aft to the cockpit. The twin helms, are also a welcome design feature. The twin helms give you flexibility in helm position, an unobstructed cockpit, & an unobstructed walk-thru to the stern swim platform. She sports hydraulic backstay tensioning, has abundant storage in truely cavernous lockers inside & out, including a very large sail locker & gear locker forward! Being able to store sails & deck gear totally separate from the living quarters. Her 2 refrigeration & freezer compartments are also very large & capable of handling lots of provisions for extended passages. |
