19' Seaman Sea-Craft Co Lightning

This Lightning sailboat was built as #4444. "Sophie" was probably built about 1950. I restored and epoxied her cedar wood hull, removed the remnants of the original canvas cover, and laid down fiberglass cloth with epoxy. You can stand on the fore deck again. Several sets of main and jib sails are included, all sewn with "4444" (I was told the original owner was an avid racer on Atwood Lake, OH). Trailer is included and was recently renovated to included a new wiring harness. Wood mast, rudder, and boom are original and functional but could use sanding with fresh varnish. Owner's Story Akira is a fine example of the Manta 42. She has been significantly refreshed from 2017 through 2025. We bought her in May of 2024 and have cruised between Florida, the East coast to New England, to the Bahamas, Hilton Head, back to the Bahamas, and finally landing in St. Augustine, FL.
