I'm selling "Into The Mystic" a 1976 Ranger 33 sailboat for my cousin. The asking price is $8000. All reasonable and possibly unreasonable offers will be considered. I just sailed the boat 23 nautical miles to my marina. I consider the condition of this boat to be fair and would be capable o day sailing in and around the bay area. There is a fair amount of equipment on the boat. Garmin chart plotter with depth, autohelm, VHF radios and more. The boat comes with a spinnaker and a lot of older tackle that should be refurbished or replaced but can be used as is. The main sail is fully battened and has two patches and can be used as is for another season or two. The 150% Genoa sets well and could last several more seasons with just a good cleaning. This boat sails very well and could be club raced competitively. A diver cleaned and went over the boat before it was moved. The boat will need new paint on the bottom sometime this year. I did a lot of the work for my cousin when he bought the boat starting approximately five years ago over the spring and summer, I myself am an avid sailor being in the boat business off and on most of my life, starting with my father building boats. I rebuilt the rudder, the bottom was completely blasted clean. Then I repaired all blisters with West epoxy followed with 4 coats of 2000E barrier coat. The hull from the rail down was faired and then painted with Northstar 928 in the Awl Grip color snow white. I found no soft spots topside. Plumbing and deck drains all refurbished or replaced, throttle cable replaced, exhaust system from manifold back replaced. Heat exchanger was replaced, solid state ignition, direct drive. The motor is an Atomic Four, it runs very well, very smooth too. Other work includes new cushions, galley countertop, nicely redone table with new easy lift pedestal, new water pump impeller and oil change. Please call or text, text messages will be answered with a phone call. I can usually be reached any evening between 6 an 9pm. "Into The Mystic" is a Coast Guard documented vessel sale notarized. |
