25' Catalina 250 WB

FEATURES
- Extremely low draft with keel retracted. I never beached this boat, but you could. It's easy to anchor so that you step off the ladder into a few feet of water. Bonus feature: you can sail with the centerboard up (in fact, you will go faster on some points of sail with the centerboard up).
- Easy to tow. Only weighs 3200 lbs with the water ballast drained. I was able to tow this with a 1994 Chevy Astro, which is NOT a very powerful tow vehicle.
- The C250 makes excellent use of space. It feels bigger than other boats of the same length. A key feature is that the cockpit is very spacious, and the cockpit comings make for two rows of seating on each side. My family has taken 10 people on this boat many times and it has been fantastic for birthdays and 4th of July. We took 13 out once, and it was unpleasantly crammed (it was also hot and the wind wasn't great that day). I'm not recommending that you take that many people out, but just saying that we did and had a good time.
- Having three different size headsails is great. On low wind days, the 150 Genoa really helps you move. And on high wind days, the small jib is perfect for maintaining safety and control. On days with 20-30 mph wind (3 ft waves on the leeward side of the lake), I will just sail with the small jib alone.

THE BAD
- Electrical disconnected but I have all parts.
- Trailer tires are old.
- No antifoul on bottom (but barrier coat is intact and there are no blisters).

INVENTORY
- Comes with 6 sails. I keep 4 working sails on the boat (main, small headsail, medium headsail, large headsail). There is an additional main and jib in storage that I believe need minor repairs. All headsails are hank-on.
- Halyards and sheets replaced last year.
- Comes with trailer.
- Clean title for boat, trailer, and motor.
- Comes with 9.9 HP 90s era Johnson 2-stroke outboard. Motor has been recently serviced at local shop. Fuel line replaced this year. I have a 3 gallon and 6 gallon tank (you can take either or both).
- I purchased all new standing rigging but have not installed yet. This cost me about $1500. The standing rigging is included in price but installation is not included. If you would prefer for me to install the rigging, I can install for $300 extra.
- Comes with dock lines, fire extinguisher, anchor and rode, miscellaneous extras.
- Does NOT come with whisker pole that is seen in the video.
- Comes with Garmin Striker 4 fish finder/depth sounder
- Includes deep-cell lead acid battery. You can run a trolling motor off of this. When the 2-stroke is in the shop, I use a 30-lb-thrust trolling motor to get in and out of the dock and it works great in light conditions. You can buy a 86 lb Newport trolling motor that would work even better.
- Includes telescoping tiller extension that can be used to lock the tiller. This is nice to use if you want to hike out while on the helm. Or you can use it to lock the tiller in the middle and the boat will sail itself on a beam reach or close reach depending on which sails you have up.
- Includes "tiller clutch" and line. The tiller clutch is excellent for single handing.
