It is equipped and has accomplished several open-water trips in both the Atlantic and Pacific, and there are extensive spare parts and equipment on board. The original electrical system was rather fragile and a bit outdated. It has been replaced with more reliable traditional breakers and direct wiring. The electronics have been updated with the latest Raymarine components. Each cabin has two Raymarine multifunction displays, offering significant peace of mind and convenience on multi-day trips. Both helm stations have Raymarine chart plotters. Engines were upgraded from 78hp Volvos to newer, lighter 110 hp Yanmars. Complete electrical status is conveniently displayed at the nav station, including AC and DC voltage and current for the generator, shore power, batteries, solar panels, etc. The mainsail was replaced with a new, high performance sail in 2010. The Gennaker was replaced in 2007. Other conveniences include a microwave, 2 TVs, two sets of window covers, a master light switch, USB charging ports, and an electric piano. |
