36' Morgan Yachts 36-5

Great sailboat for turn-key PHRF racing and fast cruising. Surveyor found good results and zero worrisome issues 2 years ago when I purchased her. Since then, numerous significant upgrades throughout the boat have been completed (see below for reference). The workhorse Universal M25 Diesel had the transmission professionally replaced in 2015 as well as genuine Westerbeke/Universal sourced oil pan, starter, glow plugs, and more. Owner is a North Sails executive so the sail inventory is way above typical PHRF standards! Cost of all the recent updates exceeds the asking price!!! The interior is setup around racing, but it is comfortable and functional for cruising. Basic galley with fresh water pump and sink. Single berths to sleep 6, dark blue Sunbrella cushions all in good shape - the bow section forward of the mast down below is open (properly functioning marine head with holding tank is forward - this section could be easily adapted to a wide V-berth for a more cruising oriented layout). The boat sails extremely well in all conditions and on all points of sail. Enviable racing record past 2 seasons.

New in 2015, a 10% longer than stock Sparcraft racing boom was fitted, Beautiful new Gebo Portlight windows, New backlit Silva compasses on both sides of companionway, Selden retractable bowsprit, Forespar carbon spin pole (you can sail with either "S" or "A" spinnakers). Awesome North Sails sail inventory with 2015 3Di main, 2015 Dyneema laminate # 1 genoa, 2015 Dyneema laminate Code Zero, 2015 A2 spinnaker, 2015 G series gennaker, 2014 S2 AP Runner, plus more good sails for a no-holds-barred racing inventory. Cost of all these recent updates exceeds the asking price!!! The standing rod rigging was fully replaced in the spring of 2011.
