Fountaine Pajot Bahia 46 year 2003. 4 cabin / 4 heads layout. Owner boat. Fully loaded and autonomous for off-grid living and extended cruising in remote locations with a huge solar array, lithium batteries, watermaker and ample refrigeration and storage.

Just seen an extensive (and expensive) refit at a cost of nearly $100k. She's ready to go now with no work needed.

The Bahia is truly a world-class cruiser with heaps of private and communal space even for a big family. Storage space unheard of in other boats of this size, absolutely cavernous engine rooms (I had 3 people in there several times and we still had room to move around) and the fastest and most stable sailing performance in its class by a wide margin. She will easily return 60% of wind speed under normal sails and nearly match AWS with the spinnaker up. Her windward pointing ability is superb, up to 35 AWA in comfort or 30 if pushing into a decent breeze. High bridge deck clearance means no slapping ever even when going straight into the weather.

Also separately for sale are a 12' hypalon Genesis dinghy with centre console and 30hp 4 stroke Honda outboard (RRP $15K), a Bauer Mariner 190Lpm dive compressor ($12k new) and 6 complete scuba kits (BCDs, regs, tanks, masks fins). These can be negotiated with the new owner for a favourable price.

Boat is Thai flagged with Thai VAT paid, has a commercial license already renewed and paid for a year and is currently in use cruising the West coast of Thailand. She is truly a turn-key vessel.

The sale is a walk-on walk-off concept, where I will only take a suitcase of clothes and personal effects off the boat and the new owner can bring theirs, unpack, provision and start cruising the next day.

New engines saildrives Oct 2015 Upgraded to SD-60 (can change oil from inside engine room instead of having to haul out), more efficient gear reduction with higher speed, wet multidisc instead of unreliable cone clutch that's $2k when it fails. All paperwork present.
