Description: |
Dream Catcher has always been a Chicago lakefront day sailed boat. New belowdecks cushions and five new opening port lights. Westerbeke diesel runs well, new driveshaft, cutlass bearing and zinc. Anti-fouling bottom paint applied and two new house batteries July 2025. Good opportunity for those who want a popular fun-to-sail performance cruiser with good bones at affordable price. Cradle included.
From CYY Chief Mechanic 9-17-24:
As far as mechanical work on the boat when we ran the engine everything looked good outside of the alternator was not charging properly so we sent it out to be rebuilt and then installed the rebuilt unit back on the engine. The engine has been winterized and batteries pulled and set in our battery room to be charged periodically through the winter. The boat has 3 batteries: 1 GRP 24 wet cell for engine and 2 GRP 27 wet cell for house. We also noticed during inspection that the cutlass bearing was worn, so we replaced the bearing as well as the bronze shaft with a SS shaft, shaft anode and performed an engine alignment. That is pretty much all we have done mechanically. The engine was winterized fall of 2022 by Crowley's Yacht Yard. |
