39' Cal 39

Chermar is a 1979 shoal draft Cal 39 with a Pekins 4108 diesel engine. It has been kept on the South River in the Chesapeake Bay. This would make a great project boat.

Known repairs required:
Two hatches of five on the top deck need replacement due to splintered plexiglass.
Water damage to wood floors in the cabin.
Faded gel coat in the cockpit and around the deck and needs repair.
The hull paint needs touch up/repainting.
Teak toe rails have gone "natural" and depending on preference, could be reoiled or varnished.
Fuel gauge in cockpit no longer works. The diesel fuel is topped off and diesel fuel stabilizer added in the winter.
Green mail sail cover has some tears that need to be to be patched.
Pedestal linked chain and cables need lubrication and inspection.
The engine mounting hardware could benefit from being replaced.

Upgrades and repairs done:
Two new Jabsco marine toilets installed with pump assemblies.
Rigging inspected and adjusted in 2023.
Two deck hatch glasses replaced.
Main sail repaired and reinforced in 2022.
Starter replaced in 2023.
