| Description: | Oct 22, 2025 its still for sale. More pictures on Seattle Craigs list. 1996 Corsair F31AC Trimaran. For sale due to illness and age. Designed by Ian Farrier this is the most popular trimaran around, (there are dozens of them in the Pacific Northwest).
The boat has 6 feet of head room, an enclosed head with toilet and wash basin and a galley with a 2 burner stove and sink. There is space for a portable, 45 quart, 12 volt Dometic chest refrigerator under the cockpit. It runs on the 100 watt solar panel, MPPT Victron controller and house battery. Wife and I prefer sleeping on the large pull out bed in the main cabin (see picture) but a couple can sleep cozily in the V-berth too. The pull out bed is fast and easy; literally 15 seconds to pull out and lay out your sleeping bag and you are ready to turn in, (sheets and blankets will take more time or you can leave a bed made up in the v-berth. There is a chart plotter, auto tiller-pilot and Tac Tic wind, speed and depth instruments. The jib, mainsail and spinnaker are in excellent condition. The optional maxi screecher foresail could use replacement. The boat is in good condition and is ready to go.

Despite being 31 feet long it folds to become trailerable with a 3/4 ton pickup. You can store it in your driveway or drive it to Lake Tahoe or Baja California! It has high performance with it's rotating mast and high tech sails, (racers can top 20 mph) but we only use it for cruising and have gone as far as the north end of Vancouver Island. The boat carries a lot of toys and the nets are as large as a 40 catamaran for lounging: We carry two folding bikes, two inflatable light weight Hobie i9 kayak/SUPs and an 8' Portabote folding dinghy with 3.5 hp outboard that planes at 11 mph for shore excursions. The Portabote and outboard are included. The main power plant is a 9.9 Honda, electric start outboard with battery charger/generator and manual easy tilt mechanism. It pushes the boat extremely economically at 8 mph.
