37' Nauticat Pilothouse NC37

Among pilothouse sailboats, the Nauticat 37 is considered one of the best designs with an attractive profile and roomy interior while offering respectable sailing performance. Solidly built in Finland in 2003 by Nauticat Shipyard (previously Siltala Yachts) in Northern European workmanship with excellent build-quality and joinery. Three Rivers is a comfortable blue water sailboat ideal for extended cruises or live-aboard. Her large pilothouse with a raised saloon provides a bright living space with excellent all-around visibility, also perfect for keeping watches and navigating in the open seas in safety and comfort. Featuring a large aft-stateroom, a V-berth, and two heads, a saloon and galley, the NC37 has comparable living space as many 40 footers.
Although a 2003 model, commissioning for this boat was finished in 2008, as evidenced by factory sign-off papers. Her previous owners sailed her across the Atlantic 10 years ago, and she has been lightly used since. She has been diligently maintained and is in very good condition, with many recent upgrades and refurbishments.
The boat is currently lying in the Atlantic side of Panama at Shelter Bay Marina, an excellent resort-grade full-service marina near the entrance of the Canal. I have enjoyed using this as my home-base for this excellent cruising area. However, my plans have changed and 3Rivers is in turn-key condition for a new owner to enjoy the beautiful cruising grounds of the Caribbean. Or, sail her back to Europe, or to the east or west coasts of America, and start your dream of a lifetime!

Mechanical

Engine
Yanmar 4JH3E 2-liter 56hp 4-cylinder diesel, fresh water cooled, with electric 100% duty-cycle fuel priming pump. Major engine maintenance overhaul (2025) by Yanmar dealer. New valves, gaskets, refurbished entire cooling system new fresh water pump, new heat exchanger, exhaust elbow, replaced seals, gaskets, hoses. Engine control from both cockpit and pilothouse. New start/stop switches at cockpit pedestal.

Engine Hours Approx. 2600 hours, well maintained. Runs well, starts easy, runs with no fume. Cruise speed 6 knots at about 2200 rpm.
