35' Dufour Apogee

Bay du Vin is a classic Dufour Apoge 35 that offers the charm of a well-built French cruising yacht combined with thoughtful upgrades for comfortable Caribbean living. She has been a dependable home and cruising sailboat for her current owners over the past three years, proving herself to be a steady, capable sailor with a solid, reassuring feel at sea.

Her traditional mahogany interior is warm and inviting, with a deceptively spacious and well-designed layout that makes excellent use of her 35 feet. The accommodations are comfortable for full-time liveaboard life, with all interior upholstery in beautiful condition. The cockpit is equally well set up for both sailing and lounging, enhanced by full cushions, a bimini with sun shades, and folding cockpit seatsperfect for relaxed island living.

Bay du Vin has benefited from continuous care and upgrades. Since 2023, approximately $10,000 in new equipment and improvements have been added, including upgraded renewable energy, refrigeration, safety systems, rigging, wiring, and deck gear. These thoughtful updates make her turnkey and ready for extended cruising or liveaboard use in the islands.

Formerly named Bambouch, this vessel was owned and sailed by the same previous owners for over 30 years. Records and personal correspondence found onboard indicate she was originally purchased in England and professionally refit for a transatlantic passage to the Caribbean. Her prior owners worked in the crew and maintenance of large charter yachts and cruised her extensively throughout the Caribbean, including at least one passage to Florida. Their professional level of care was evident throughout the boat when the current owners took possession in December 2022.

Renamed Bay du Vin, she is Canadian-registered and continues to reflect the attentive maintenance and pride of ownership she has enjoyed throughout her life.
