30' J Boats J/30

Bounce is a 1982 J/30 built to race and cruise. Since 2020, every critical system has been upgraded: North Sails racing sails Cruising sails, Faired and templated keel (2023), Faired Bottom (2021), Full standing rigging renewal, Rebuilt propulsion system, B&G electronics suite.

Proven Race Record. No refit needed for performance.

Away from the racecourse, Bounce has spent time doing what J/30s do equally well. Shelter Island, Oyster Bay, Eatons Neck, and week-long family passages in between. She is as comfortable on a quiet overnight as she is on a start line.

ENGINE & PROPULSION
Yanmar 2YM15 15hp diesel, new in 2010. Propulsion system renewal in 2021 new prop shaft, coupling, cutlass bearing, and stuffing box. Engine, water, and waste hoses replaced in 2025. Engine repainted for rust protection in 2025. Starter and house batteries replaced in 2020. 70-watt solar panel installed with charge controller 2020.
