Description:
Proven cruising sailboat with a solid hull and the original Westerbeke 40 engine (3,700 hours). Designed by Sparkman & Stephens, the Tartan 37 has earned its reputation as a capable coastal and offshore cruiser. This boat features the Tartan centerboard configuration with 4'2" draft board up and 7'9" board down, giving the flexibility to explore shallow anchorages while still providing deep-water performance when needed. She also carries the encapsulated keel with skeg-hung rudder, a keel-stepped mast, and the kind of robust construction many sailors seek in older cruising boats.
This is a boat built to sail and travel, not sit at a dock for appearances. She has safely carried my wife and me up and down the U.S. East Coast and has been a dependable cruising platform throughout.
We had plans for Caribbean cruising, but life happens and priorities change. Rather than sit unused, wed like to see her go to someone who will continue sailing her and give her the life she deserves.
