Description: |
The Martin 243 is one of the fastest ever manufactured 24 foot sailboats. Over the years, PHRF ratings on multiple Martin 243's across the nation typically land in the mid to high 60's. Several owners report max speed in the mid 20 knots range.
This fractional rig is #14 of 14 boats made and retains a carbon mast with double spreaders.
The Martin 243 can be sailed by 2 people in light air, but for higher wind speeds and racing, 3 to 4 crew. |
Equipment: |
Original main, jib, and spinnaker. Also have unused main and jib by North Sails in sail bags.
Retains original cross slides for outriggers/hiking boards. The included engine is a Nissan 3.5hp outboard.

The included galvanized steel Highliner trailer custom made for this boat has spare wheel/tire along with buddy bearings.
The original rub strips/blocks in multiple locations have been removed and replaced by CNC machined blocks from delrin plate material.
Includes keel lift with winch, tension gauge for stays, and unused wind direction indicator in original box. Also boat fenders and life vests. |
