ERICSON 31 INDEPENDENCE YACHT This Ericson 31 is a very comfortable and safe blue water cruising sailboat. She is easy to sail single handed. I think she is one of Bruce King’s best designs and she shows this with a lot of character. When you are looking at boats both on the water and at the dock, she will stand out. She comes with new sails, new life lines, new running and standing rigging, self furling foresail and lazy Jacks. She comes with a removable protective mainsail sun cover, a bimini cover and a removable full boat sun cover to use when at anchor and when at the dock. Her equipment includes three anchors (35 pd Bruce with 150 ft of chain rode, 25 pd Danforth anchor and 25 pd CQR anchor), lifejackets, fenders, dock power cord, water hoses, extra diesel and water cans, a 7.5 ft Avon dinghy with a 3 hp Nisson motor that weighs only 35 pds. Electronics include VHF radio, 540S Garmin chart plotter which includes chips of the east coast of the United States and all of the Caribbean. Also, she has a CD stereo with great sounding speakers inside and out and a TV. She is powered by 2QM 15 hp diesel motor which lets her cruise at 5–6 knots comfortably. You will be impressed with her fuel consumption. Her fuel tank capacity is 35 gallons. She carries 35 gallons in her water tanks. Her beam is 10ft 2 inches and her depth is 4ft 11 inches. She has a very comfortable interior with drop down table, a refrigerator, insulated ice box and storage capacity that will amaze you. It has a useful and comfortable nav table. A generous V berth cabin and enclosed head sit forward of the salon. On her starboard side she has a double berth and on her port side a single berth that allow her to sleep five in her cabin. Her comfortable and roomy cockpit, where two more people can sleep, gives her a seven person sleeping capacity. MORE PICTURES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST |
