About the vessel:
FOR SALE: 1975 27' Dufour Sailboat. A great ocean going vessel. This is a production boat. It is very comfortable to be in given: the high backed seats in the cockpit area; double life lines that reach over the knee of a grown person; and 4' of freeboard.
Dimensions: LOA = 27' 3"; LWL = 20' 3"; Draft = 5' 2" Beam = 10' 9"; Mast (anodized, brass color)= 34'.
Engine: Volvo Penta MD6A; 10hP; 2 cylinder; raw water cooled. Sails: Sails are in great shape, include a 135% genoa with a Selden Furlex and battened main (one reef point).Both are fifteen years old with ten years of use but look and feel brand new. (Washed every year used.)
Lines: Double drum winches; 2 manual locking winch handles; lines are in good condition; single handed sailing. Other canvas included: Dodger; cockpit seat cushions; sail cover; winch covers; etc.
Electrical: Electrical system powered by two new 12V batteries which run: VHF with DSC and continual monitoring; Ritchie compass wtih light; new knot and depth meter; JRC radar (1' dome on staineless steel radar tower and 6" LCD screen); Si-tex/C-Map chart plotter with 6" color display; interior and exterior lights. MISC: Original manuals; only three owners in 42 years (this says a lot about the boat!); very good condition inside and out; extras like propane grill, life jackets, fully stocked galley (with original table settings); dinghy and motor are available for additional purchase; updated cushion coverings in 2009; updated from gel coat to 2 part epoxy red paint in 2016; plus many others. Sailed in 2016. May launch in 2017. Boat is ready to go.
