Up for sale is our 1978 Macgregor V222 "Trailer Sailor" Sailboat. A few things I have done to the boat in the last two years:
New standing rigging New quick release front stay New Electrical Set up for solar charging of new battery Backed most of the stanchions with Hardwood New keel winch including oversize winch cable New keel bolt and keel bolt seal New LED bow light Reconditioned masthead and stern lights Newer (used) Jib sail. It has lots of crinkle in it New running rigging Rudder refinished New bunks and carpet on the trailer
Basically I went through this boat from bow to stern while it sat in my backyard on the weekends, etc. Kind of a fun project. I took it out about a half dozen times in Avila ($22 to use the Sport Launch). After you set it in the water (don't call it dropped in with the Sport Launch guys) you can roll over the work dock and rig it completely in about 30 minutes. I don't have an outboard for it and while the mainsail still has maybe another season it could probably be replaced sooner than later.
I would keep this as it is super fun boat to take out but I actually upgraded to a 35' boat that is on a mooring in Avila Bay and my wife said I can only have one boat at a time.
I had a full survey done on the boat in 2015 and it checked out great condition wise. No water damage issues. The hull is in great shape. You can have the survey with the boat if you decide to purchase.
