Description:
SAGA is an Ohlson 30 Sloop rigged vessel, built in Gothenberg Sweden in 1964. With a full lead keel, her hull is mahogany on steam bent white oak frames.
Length overall is 28 feet, beam is 84 and draft is 5.
The present owners, since 1987, have sailed her in Long Island Sound and since 1990 in Penobscot Bay.
We repowered her in 1989 with a 16 hp Yanmar diesel, and replaced the roller furling jib and main in 2006. The engine has approximately 500 hours and the sails are in excellent, lightly used condition.
She has tiller steering, aluminum spars, freshwater tank with electric galley pump, an icebox, propane stove, charcoal heater in the main cabin, two berths forward and two in the main cabin, and a new portable head and 6 headroom in the main cabin.
Saga has been stored indoors during winters in Camden, Maine, moored in Rockport and was most recently surveyed in October 2014.
