This yacht was designed by Phillip Rhodes, a prolific Naval Architect who designed world class yachts for the likes of Rockefellers and Sears & Roebucks. He designed "At Ease" as a "heavy displacement center cockpit world cruising ketch".
At Ease is federally documented for both recreation and registry allowing her to carry passengers and goods throughout US Pacific possessions and to legally do charters in those areas.
I have owned her since 1987 and she has cruised both coasts of the USA, Bahamas and Turks & Caicos.She is included in at least 3 nautical books and is the smallest motor sailer designed by Rhodes.She is heavily built (1.5 in teak hull, yacal frames & 4 in silicon bronze fasteners) roomy (7'1" headroom), comfortable, and fairly original with only upgrades, but not modified. She is a well ventilated boat with 7 dorade ventilators, 6 bronze opening ports with screens, 4 12v fans.3 opening hatches with screens. Excellent engine and bilge access.(walk around). Sails include Drifter, genoa, working jibs, mizzen, mizzen staysail. She is extremely roomy, but safe in a seaway with forward cabin, main cabin,expansive cockpit with wheel steering console, and aft cabin with crew berths, sink, head and loads of storage, and an aft deck for sunning or table and chairs. She also has lifeline gate aft with aluminum boarding ladder and dinghy davits. Gas and charcoal barbecues. She is located in beautiful downtown Ensenada (60 miles south of San Diego)

Storage shelves and lockers, head compartment with doors from either cabin, tiled shower, sink, Skipper manual head and holding tank. Grey water tanks and shower sump pump. teak shower grate, all cabin soles are removable for varnishing and access. Galley to stbd with 3 burner Shipmate ss propane gimbaled stove /oven. Deep sink with h & C pressure water , dish racks varrnished counters and sea water manual pump. Large freezer and refrigerator (110 volt and engine driven cold plate). Access from top and front.
