Solid Hardin 45' monohull. Lived in for about 7 years . Very comfortable vessel. Engine runs good. replaced (2013 new) shaft, cutlass bearing, propeller, 110 volt water heater, toilet, holding tank, macerator pump, rigging. Removed wooden spares and replaced with aluminum main mast and boom. Top line for mizzen is attached and ready for a mizzen if desired. Teak decks removed. Deck needs to be stripped of coating and resealed. Some seepage of water has softened bulkheads starboard and port at aft cabin. Replaced once but wood decayed again due to slow leaks in deck. An easy fix to replace the bulkheads with two days of work. Was planning to coat the deck with polyurea 2 part, but basically lost interest. I love living on the boat but it's time for a change. Very seaworthy vessel but needs a small crew. Sails need to be replaced. This is a good boat for a motivated couple with a little bit of energy and a couple of months worth of effort. This Hardin model is very recognized admired. |
