For sale is a MacGregor 26D (D=daggerboard) Also called the 26 C (for classic) made in 1988. I'm asking $1900 firm.
This boat has no swing keel or regular keel so less moving parts to worry about. It uses water ballast that is let into the boat and is released as you bring it out of the water. That makes this boat much lighter to tow (about 2,200 pounds. It has just been powerwashed.
It sleeps 6 adults. Besides the V-Birth, it sleeps 2 on a full sized bed in the aft (back) of the cabin.
Please note that this is a project boat needing some finishing touches and priced to sell at $1,900 (most of these boats are priced around $5,000).
The boat is ready to float with no bottom cracks or holes, but needs a tabernacle.
This boat is a "Trailer Sailor" meaning it's intended to be able to be stored at home on it's trailer so you save big money on slip f ees
The boats trailer is in excellent shape and comes with a spare tire as well. MacGregor is known for having bad trailers, and this one is aftermarket so it's much nicer than the stock one.
This boat comes with a Mercury Mariner 15HP outboard (~1989) that runs well except it needs a carb cleaning and a small metal bracket is broken that hods down the reverse. It is an EXTRA long shaft which is great for this boat. In it's present condition, it's not advisable to go in reverse until the bracket is replaced. Still this engine is worth upwards of $700 in it's present used condition.
The boat does have a mast, but it's main sail is in bad shape and needs replacing. Some of the rigging is missing like with side stays.
The boat has a head with a porta potty included. All seat pads are included in "OK" condition. There is a pump sink and an alcohol stove.
5 years ago, a tree had fallen on top left of boat and the fiberglass repair was completed. There was never any damage to the bottom of the boat form the tree, only to the cabin.
