Description: FRESH WATER, ONE-OWNER, RARELY AVAILABLE! Seriously for sale, immaculate cutter-rigged Allied Seawind II sailboat, auxiliary inboard-powered by 30 hp Westerbeke Marine Diesel engine. Length: 32', Beam: 10'6", Draft: 4' 6", Displacement: 15,000 lbs. Designed by naval architect Thomas Gillmer, the Seawind II is a true blue-water cruiser. In fact, the original 30-foot version of the Seawind was the first fiberglass sailboat to sail around the world (Alan Eddy in the boat "Apogee".) Built in late 1977 as a 1978 model and first launched in spring of 1979 in Wilson, NY, this boat has spent its entire life on Lake Ontario. She has always been meticulously cared for by professionals and definitely does not look or act her age. This is without a doubt the best maintained and best equipped Allied Seawind II available anywhere. Boat currently lying in Rochester, New York, USA.

Equipment: Westerbeke 30 diesel inboard engine, SR Mariner Instrumentation (depth, apparent wind, wind speed, knot log, speed), Garmin GPSMAP 478 with cockpit and cabin mounts, Edson rack and pinion wheel steering with Edson wheel brake, Edson pedestal with Danforth Constellation compass and Edson fold-down teak table, pressure water, water heater, shower, Jabsco Blaster high-pressure deck washdown system, Adler-Barbour Cold Machine refrigeration, completely refurbished Galley Maid High Heat alcohol stove, GE microwave oven, custom stainless steel holding tank (replaced original pvc tank), two complete sets of sails (one set fully battened) including cruising spinnaker and storm jib, lazy jacks, full cockpit cushions with matching backrests, stereo with iPod interface plus cabin and cockpit speakers, Xantrex TruCharge 20-amp converter/charger mounted in starboard lazarette (Xantrex unit includes optional battery temperature sensor and remote battery condition monitoring panel with LED lights mounted near main breaker panel in main cabin). Many custom modifications and extras added during major refit at Allied factory in Catskill, NY over winter 1980-81. These modifications are not found on your average Allied Seawind II and they include: three drawer teak dresser, port side, main cabin; additional bilge access panel in cabin sole; hinged electrical panel; hinged ice-box door; custom V-berth filler; linen and V-berth filler storage cabinet in forward cabin; fold-down dining table in varnished teak with teak magazine rack behind; teak silverware drawer in galley; teak instrument back-up box on aft port bulkhead above galley sink; hinged, teak-framed, drop-down screens on forward hatch and center hatch; teak-framed screen for companionway; rigid pvc light-barrier hot and cold water lines; 12-volt accessory adapters throughout boat; cabin fans in main and forward cabins; Shipmate kerosene cabin heater; six Danish brass interior 12-volt light fixtures; all interior cabinets framed in teak; divided chain locker in forepeak for storage of two rodes; 25lb. CQR anchor; luxury velour upholstery, 5-inch foam, with slanted backs on port and starboard seat backs, plus bolsters at both ends of port and starboard settees (much more attractive and comfortable than originally supplied upholstery); teak chock for staysail boom; teak base for staysail boom pedestal; teak drip rails on cabin sides; teak drip rails on cockpit locker hatch covers; two chrome-on-brass hawse pipes to divided chain locker compartments; midship spring cleats, port and starboard; additional pair of bow chocks on bowsprit; roller-bearing travelers and gear for mainsail and staysail; inboard genoa tracks; new fiberglass companionway sea hood with teak trim; custom teak helmsman's back rest; rubrail removed, recaulked, hull-to-deck joint refastened with additional bolts and reinstalled (to eliminate hull-to-deck joint leaks common with Seawinds). Bottom professionally sandblasted, treated with three coats of Interlux InterProtect 2000 barrier coat and two coats of VC-17m. Original water line and blue boot stripe removed and repainted with Imron epoxy paint. Includes many engine spares, including thermostat, zincs, belts, impellers, gaskets, seals, etc., plus complete set of manuals for boat, engine, instruments, and accessories, as well as complete maintenance records for boat. Professionally maintained and lightly used. Contact me for many photos, line drawings, and complete inventory.
