Newport 27 built by Capitol Yachts in 1974. Includes mainsail, and 110, and 150 foresails. Bought four years ago, hauled out, refinished bottom, and removed gasoline inboard. I installed a new Johnson 9.9 four stroke with electric start and controls in the cockpit with "smart" tachometer. Also a separate battery for starting, a new fuel filter/separator, and new hoses for the 20 gallon fuel tank. I have also installed the following: new fuel and water tank caps; new New England halyards and several new Harken blocks; new stainless steel lower stays; new head and holding tank to include all new hoses, filter, and pump-out fitting; new electric faucet; new bilge pump, float switch, and main switch; new compass; new depth sounder; solar vent. The cabin is tall enough to stand up in, and comfortably sleeps 4 adults, and can sleep 5/6 with children. Galley has 20 gallon fresh water tank plumbed to the sink, a built in "cooler", and room for a two burner camping stove. Cabin has a fold-down table, and the couch turns into a bunk bed. Plenty of storage space and a separate head. 6 new life vests and life sling included. There is a secondary folding door for the passageway that I just refinished. Just paid registration for this year, so she's good until 2015. I just dove and cleaned the bottom, and it looks good. |
