Description: |
I took this Catalina 270 to another level. Made it into a comfortable cruising sailboat. Trailored it to Kentucky Lake, North Channel and Elk Rapids. I personally did not get wide load permits as the 2nd owner did not. Mast can be cranked up by my wife. Yea.$300 worth of cabin table, cockpit table, cabinet shelf, Spice racks and larger bottle rack. Full Bimini enclosure adds another 1/3rd live able space in a cockpit that is 87% width of the beam. Big cockpit. Love the open transom to get into dingy.
I think a 1/2 ton pickup with 4wd could pull it out of boat ramp. short trip to your home lake. 3/4 ton 4wd would be right for longer trips.
Paladin has been stored inside from last owner ,while I've had it in a warehouse during my ownership. Est 12 years.
Paladin means - Good Christian Night.
I'm 6'1" with cabin and bimini works for me.
I've sailed with the trailer sailor association. For a trailerable boat, C 270 is 3 times the volume of a 25' sailboat. This mast raising and trailer going to save you money for this size of boat. |
