Description: |
This J/29 sailboat is in great condition and has proven to be competitive on the race course while being an enjoyable cruising vessel as well. Built in 1983, this boat was completely improved in October of 2017 and comes equipped with: newly faired bottom with Vivid ablative paint, new laminate Doyle race sails (main, #1 headsail, and #3 headsail), new main cover, balanced rudder, new Raymarine i50 / i60 wind, depth and speed instruments, new Raymarine a7 touchscreen GPS chart plotter with Wi-Fi, new running rigging, all new electrical wiring, breaker box and LED fixtures, custom tiller, new floor boards and settees and, a freshly painted interior. The standing rigging was replaced in 2014, and is tuned, and in good condition. The boat is powered by a Mercury 9.9 HP 4 Stroke Electric Start outboard engine that has recently been serviced. With a fractional rig, the boat performs well with a larger main, and the headsails are manageable to trim through sailing maneuvers. This boat is turn key, and would be ideal experienced sailors, or those just learning how to sail.
