RESOLUTEis a true all-oceans, passage maker which has beendesigned for family cruising.
RESOLUTE is a very comfortable blue water cruiser. Two prudent amateur sailors can easily handle her rugged ketch rig sail plan and operate her sensible and reliable machinery. Mark and Sara have enjoyed sailing RESOLUTE on their own over many sea miles since 2008.
This vessel was originally commissioned DREAM CHASER in March 1995 and built for world cruising by TPI in Rhode Island. Hinkley did the initial commissioning in Southwest Harbor, Maine. The first owners with 3 children completed a 15 stop, 30,000 miles circumnavigation via the Panama Canal and the Cape of Good Hope in 364 days.
Steve Dashew designed the Sundeer 64 as a vessel with very practical innovation evolving from his many years at sea and experience with several earlier prototypes. Three watertight compartments make her a very safe yacht. The large pilothouse is comfortable underway in all conditions. Moderate displacement and a long waterline make her extremely fast under sail and the 140 HP Yanmar powers her at 9.5 knots.
With a fuel capacity of 350 gallons, water capacity of 550 gallons and a 1680c amp/hour battery bank combined with solar and water-making capabilities, RESOLUTE is capable of extended, long-distance cruising.
One very important feature of this vessel is the watertight isolation of the main accommodation. There are two watertight bulkheads fore and aft.
The first 12 feet of the bow is a huge anchor and sail locker with a watertight bulkhead to isolate the accommodation. There is a dorade to ventilate the fore peak.
In the accommodation section, the queen size master suite is forward with a separate head, shower, washing machine and washbasin, plus extensive storage.
The main salon is amidships with a large central dining table, custom bookshelves and entertainment center.
The second head is starboard side, aft of the navigation station and forward of the aft staterooms. |
