47' Tropic Multicoques Atlas 47

Te Ara is a semi custom performance cruiser. She is spacious yet able to be managed single handedly making her ideal for a coulple or family. Solidly Built as a composit of fiberglass with a strip plank mahogany core, she can withstand the rigors of ocean sailing. Her beam is carried well aft for stability, and her twin rudders offer excellent steering on all angles to the wind. The current owner recently completed a cruise to through the Tuamotus and a round trip voyage from Raiatea to Hawaii. A recent survey is available upon request.

Boom : Aluminum boom with internal outhaul and three internal reefing lines. Rigid Boom Vang
Standing : Cutter rigged, three spreaders, twin back stays. Running back stays. Standing rigging is multi-strand stainless steel with a combination of crimped and norsman fittings.
Sails : Dacron Full battened tri radial mainsail with three slab reefs. Dacron tri radial genoa on PROFURL furler. Cross-cut Hank on staysail, Dacron Asymmetric spinnaker, Storm Jib hank on (2023) orange 32 sq ft. Mainsail bag with lazy jack lines. Spare PROFURL furler for gennaker.
On the mast 2ANDERSEN INOX 46 winches for halyards and 1 ANDERSEN INOX 40 winch for outhaul and reefing. In the cockpit : 4 ANDERSEN INOX 46 winches on the coach-roof for boom vang, staysail sheets, and main sheet. On the cockpit combing 2 ANDERSEN INOX 52 winches for genoa sheets and 2 ANDERSEN INOX 28 winches for furlers. All winches are self tailing

Fresh water tanks : 105 gallons/ 400 liters
Watermaker : Spectra Cape horn extreme 60l/hr, tested and repickled in septemper 2023, spare pickling solution, filter, and membrane.
Cold units, fridge, freezer : Counter top access refridgerator and freezer. Powered by 24 V DC or 220V AC shore power.
Stove : Eno two burner stainless steel gimbled propane stove with oven.
Hot water : 19.8 gallon heated by the engine or by 220v shore power
LaVac Toilet with electric pump and Holding tank. Large shower space in forward head with evacuation pump. Toilet has been removed.
