Description: |
The Hanse 461 "Blue" is fully upgraded for single-handed sailing and off-grid living, ideal for extended cruising. Designed as a racer/cruiser, it performs well in light winds, easily reaching speeds of 8.59 knots. Built with a robust aluminum and steel substructure, her hull is rigid and silent underway, enhancing stability and efficiency. With over $120,000 in upgrades, featuring new sails and running rigging (2019) including mainsail, self-tacking headsail, Code Zero, and spinnaker for versatile wind conditions. All lines and sail controls are routed to the cockpit, and four winches (two electric, two manual) allow for seamless solo operation. Standing rigging and mast hardware were replaced in 2022.
For off-grid capabilities, a 2-kilowatt solar array powers new 10x100Ah LiFePO batteries (2023) with a Victron monitor and 2,000-watt inverter. The electric galley includes an induction cooktop, microwave/convection oven, and efficient refrigeration. Climate control is provided by a 12-volt Seawater Pro air conditioning and heating system, which runs silently on battery power overnight and directly off of solar for daytime use.
Additional upgrades include a 17 GPH SeaWater Pro Watermaker, a 90 lb Rocna anchor with 225 ft of stainless steel chain, a secondary 60 lb Manson anchor, a bow thruster for maneuverability, new Lewmar hatches, and a Raritan electric freshwater toilet. This vessel is ready for comfortable, self-sufficient cruising and is turn-key, ready to sail away.
