Cal 2-29 1978 Racer Cruiser This is a William Lapworth designed Cal 29 racer-cruiser in excellent condition. Solidly built with molded-in keel (no keel bolts to worry about) and solid lead ballast. Length is 29 ft and depth is 4.5 feet.
Regularly used and meticulously maintained. Complete restoration in 2017 with new engine, standing rigging, and all sheets and lines. Recently replaced cutless bearing and stuffing box for trouble-free operation.
The Lapworth designed Cal 29 has a solid reputation for being easy to sail, stable in high winds, and ability to sail fast upwind. It is an excellent racing boat or family cruiser. Hull #1005 is one of the last of this popular model built and features a drop-down table and double settee in the main cabin. I am selling because I am just not using the boat enough since my kids left home.
