30' J-Boats J/92s

2006 J/92s (Hull #35) Minx has been thoughtfully upgraded with premium electronics, modern safety systems, and reliable power management for solo or short-handed racing/cruising. For added safety, it is equipped with a cassette-style emergency rudder and tiller system.

Premium Electronics Suite (2018):
- B&G Zeus 9" Chartplotter with dual Triton displays
- B&G wind, depth, speed, temperature sensors, and high-accuracy GPS antenna
- Raymarine Evolution EV-100 Tiller Autopilot with EV-1 Sensor Core gyrocompass (3-axis digital accelerometer, compass, gyro digital angular rate sensor) and Madman wireless remote. The NMEA2k bus enables the autopilot wind mode function
- Vesper WatchMate 850 Class B AIS Transponder, transmitting identity, position, and course to other AIS-equipped vessels
- Standard Horizon GX2200 Matrix AIS VHF with DSC plus floating handheld VHF

- Mainsail (2010): UK Tape Drive, full battens, single and double reef points
- Jib (2010): UK Tape Drive, roller furling with ATN Taffeta sleeve cover

- Volvo Penta D1-13 saildrive (seal replaced 2015, full service June 2024)
- Dual 55W solar panels with removable stern rail mounts, and two Genasun GV5 MPPT charge controllers
- Victron BMV-700 battery monitor
AGM batteries: Lifeline Group 24 (80Ah house) Powestride Group 48 (845 MCA starting)
- Blue Sea ACR (Automatic Charging Relay, 2018), allowing battery banks to charge from either solar or alternator with much lower voltage drop than a battery isolator, and automatically preventing drainage of the starter battery.

Condition & Maintenance:
Disclosure: Minx is in good structural and mechanical condition, however the fairing bandage that covers the joint between the keel and hull needs to be redone. Similar to what is described on J92 owners google group under "keel J92s technical question"
