Hull and deck We rebuilt the deck, put a new transom, new plates for the hull where needed. The keel from the fin to the bow was replaced. The entire boat is fully welded, inside and outside. All the new and the old metal was prepared with any mechanical tools available (needle gun, tercoo, grit grinder etc), then phosphoric acid when needed then coated (3 coats) with Jotamastic 90. So you will find the inside, the deck and up the waterline totally coated. The hull plate is 5 mm thick , the deck plate 3mm, the bottom of the keel is 20mm, the side plates of the keel 8mm. It is lead ballasted. We did a new toe rail with 25mm SS rod. new full SS stanchion bases, we have 18 SS stanchions. We still have to install the pulpits, davits and bimini (we have the old ones) New rudder SS shaft New metal forecastle big hatch New 6mm aluminium deck floor Integral Diesel tank with 3 new big inspection hatches (capacity of 850 litres).
Engine The engine is a 4 Cylinder 80hp Nissan ED33 with a Marine conversion, by DieCon Engineering. Fresh water cooled, heat exchanger. 5000 hours. The gearbox is a Hurth HBW 250. 2 alternator (24v and 12 volt). The engine is very healty and in excellent condition. We checked everything in the workshop and recoated. Start smoothly at first attempt. We did oil pressure test and compression test for the cylinders. All good. Heat exchanger cleaned and pressure tested, as elbow raiser, water pump and starter (24volt). Plenty of spare parts (spare raiser, spare new 24v starter, filters etc) A new propeller SS shaft is done and ready to install.
Sailing The mast is thick aluminium, with plenty of mast steps. 2 furlers. A full complement of old but still working sails (needing some small repairs): partly battened mainsail (2 reef), (genoa and yankee, need new uv strips), hanked staysail, MPS and cruising twins.
