40' Beneteau First 40

Adventure is a 2011 Beneteau First 40, a well-proven performance cruiser that successfully combines strong sailing capability with genuine seagoing comfort and practicality. Developed by Beneteau with input from Farr Yacht Design, the First 40 is widely respected as a serious cruiser-racer platform within the global sailing community. Her hull and rig design allow for confident offshore passages while continuing to deliver rewarding sailing performance across a wide range of conditions.

Adventure carries a history of hard use paired with consistent maintenance. Originally commissioned and operated by Sunsail UK as a charter and training yacht, she experienced intensive service and underwent multiple repairs prior to her current ownership. This period of operation left visible signs of use on the deck, cockpit, and interior woodwork, all of which were fully documented and disclosed in the pre-purchase survey completed in 2021. Since acquisition, the current owners have invested significantly in repairs, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance to ensure the vessel remains fully functional, reliable, and safe.

Since 2021, Adventure has undertaken serious offshore cruising. She was actively sailed in the Baltic Sea throughout 2022 before being prepared for an Atlantic crossing in late 2023. That crossing was successfully completed in January 2024, after which she has been lived aboard while cruising the Caribbean. These passages clearly demonstrate her capability and resilience as a blue-water-capable vessel when properly maintained and handled. With conscientious care throughout both her refit and cruising history, Adventure offers a dependable platform ready for her next owners voyages.

The interior layout is practical, versatile, and well suited to extended cruising. Adventure features two aft cabins, each with a double berth, providing comfortable accommodation for family cruising or shared ownership. The forward cabin also includes a double berth with ample storage, completing the three-cabin layout typical of the First 40 class.
