Description:
$2000 Price reduction 5/6/2026

We have moved to the East Coast and purchased a boat there to refit, or we would not be selling this beautiful vessel. With today's prices, it did not make sense to transport her overland, or we would have. We also got a dog and needed a little bigger boat!

We purchased this vessel in the SF Bay Area in July of 2018. We immediately started a refit to bring her up to current standards and cruising condition. My husband is a marine electrician, and I have worked in boatyards, so the upgrades are top-notch.

You can see the layout and specs at https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/s2-110-c/. This vessel is the shoal-draft version with a balsa-cored hull above the waterline. There is no damage to the core anywhere. I prefer a cored boat for its insulation and added stiffness.

There is a spacious walk-through head with an AirHead composting toilet, all correctly set up and working well, no holding tank, no smell. I am on the East Coast when posting this listing and will add more pictures when I get to the boat in a couple of weeks.

She will sleep 6, with 2 in each area: V-berth, salon settees, and aft cabin. The boat is most comfortable for 3 people: 2 in the aft cabin and 1 in the V-berth.

Equipment:
Diesel engine, 1200 hours
Original Yanmar 3HM35F runs great
Freshwater cooled, heat exchanger cleaned in 2022 and exhaust elbow replaced.
Fuel polished and tank inspected in 2022.
70 gallon fuel tank
Racor water separator
Fuel sender replaced 2021

Standing rigging (new in 2019):
Beefy standing rigging replaced in 2019
Chainplates removed and inspected; one replaced. Deck through-bolting area dug out and epoxied before reinstalling chain plates.

Running rigging (new in 2019)
The boat was switched from a traveler system to a twin mainsheet system in 2025. The old traveler was worn out, no parts available, and was on the cockpit combing and in the way. The twin mainsheet system provides better control, a built-in boom brake and eliminates the need for a boom vang.

Mast and boom repainted in 2019.

Two Lewmar winches on the combings and two smaller winches on either side of the companionway.
Winches serviced 2025.

Ground tackle (2019):
Lofrans manual windlass
250' of chain
Stainless steel Kingston anchor, 35 lb

Main sail (2019)
Doyle cruising main with 3 reef points
Doyle offshore stack pack

Foresail:
Old undersized jib, but usable. (We were waiting to get a new foresail based on where we were going to sail.)

Lifelines were all replaced in 2019.
Pushpit surrounded by SS tubing in place of top lifeline, 2025.

Portlights, windows, hatches (replaced 2018):
No leaks in any hatches or portlights.
Two large opening hatches Lexan replaced and regasketed
All opening portlights replaced with new Beckson portlights.
Four large Lexan windows, one was replaced in 2021 with insertion of an opening port over the stove. The polycarbonate (Lexan) for the other three is on the boat for the new owner to replace when desired.

Steering system (replaced 2019):
Lewmar folding wheel
Edson pedestal painted in 2019
All interior steering components replaced, wires, chain, etc., in 2019.

CPT autopilot installed in 2023

New rudder 2025 with rebuilt rudder shelf, rudder tube, and SS boot. There was nothing wrong with the old rudder, this was done in preparation for cruising and to strengthen the system.

Stainless steel arch installed in 2021.
7' high contains 300 watts of solar, ready to upgrade. The arch was designed tall enough to install wind vane steering in the future.

There is an old Dodger on the boat that looks good, provides protection, but needs replacing soon. The eisenglass in the front panels was replaced in 2021.

No bimini, but there is fabric and tubing on the boat to build one or give to someone else to build one.

300 watts of solar
LiFePO4 400 AH battery bank (4 Relion)
1 Group 24 AGM start battery

Electronics 2020-2025 mounted at the helm:
Raymarine 9" chartplotter
Raymarine wind instrument
Raymarine depth, speed display
CPT autopilot
B&G V60 radio with AIS transmit/receive
No radar

Bottom paint:
Very good condition, done every other year with Petit Vivid hybrid antifouling. We were planning on applying Copper Coat once we got to Mexico. The bottom is exceptionally smooth for a boat of this age. We have the bottom cleaned by a diver every month.

INTERIOR
V-berth, salon with two bench settees and small teak table.

Large galley with huge single-basin sink, 2-burner Force 10 stove new in 2018 and kept spotless, deep top-opening fridge with another very large top opening fridge we had not installed a compressor and cold plate yet. Existing fridge is water cooled with the Isotherm SP units.

Lots of storage, usable cushions.
