New Volvo 2040 diezel ENGINE, Irwin 38 sloop fin keel that can go fast anywhere around the world (this is a solid fin keel, new 50h. Engine) READ it all before calling 38 Irwin 1971 full fiberglass, fin keel, with cabin half convertible $ 18,000.00 US (NEGOTIABLE) So, I am 83 now and I have to sell this lovely sailboat, and its a real deal! Because slowly, year to years, I have redone everything on new. I have bought that boat for the very good quality, its fish alike seaworthy and its big 10 cockpit. Standing rigging oversize, bulkheads over-glazed, back chain plates doubled and oversize, sealed JIB HD Profurl oversize (sealed). Sails: all 3 sails are in good condition. Head sail is huge and its the only one I use because I am a lazy sailor. The main sail has a new cover with openings for the new lazy jack. All lines to the cockpit (could be managed by one person as I do. 2 more extra sail for different purposes. Electricity: All the batteries wiring cables system is new, oversize marine grades, on switches and all lights are new on LED. 110 new panel, all lights on LED. (Hull and keel in full fiberglass (no sandwich balsa filling as most new boats of today are made of) (See picture for comparison between foam balsa and real solid fiberglass.) Bottom all done in March 2016, 2 coats epoxy primer and 2 coats anti-fouling (one more coats refreshing anti-fouling in December 2022) before going back into the water for the season. (Every 2-3 years a new coat for good care.) Deck and sides done with 2 coats primer and epoxy. No blister and no soft spot nowhere (now and never add). New Top life lines, change for the biggest size. New prop (750 $) and the old one for spare. New tow rails made in starboard (good for life (1200 $) New spreaders and spreaders shoes. (I've worked more than sailing, that's what I may like).
