Description: |
This former coast guard auxiliary boat *Unknown Star*, a 1971 CBS Maritime Clipper 31 has all documentation from the previous two owners, to me.
I have all engine build sheets from when the Perkins 4-108 was rebuilt in 1995 and never installed back in the boat. Engine pictured on the pallet with transmission. The engine has been refreshed by a professional Diesel shop and started to make sure everything was operational, It ran perfectly and I have video of it running in Jan of 2026. The velvet drive transmission was also rebuilt with paperwork to prove it and has fresh transmission fluid installed. Engine was installed on feb 2 2026 and bolted into place ready for transport. transmission is crated inside the living quarters.
This is a project boat with great bones. It has been completely cleaned out and is ready to make it yours. It does have the mast for the sail as well, a new sail will need to be made for it. It will come with the trailer (no title), six brand new tires and new bearings/seals. The trailer does not have the brakes hooked up, but rolls, pulls and stops fantastic, with a one-ton truck. I hauled this boat 12 hours with no issues. Straps for lifting the boat off the trailer are currently on the trailer as well, underneath the boat for easy pickup.
We restore boats for a hobby, and this boat is on our list next year to start a full restoration, and I will do so starting in the spring, unless sold by then. This is as cheap as this boat will get.
It has a wet head, toilet/shower, a kitchenette, table which turns into a bed and a v-berth. Tons of storage underneath the seats aft and inside the v-berth.
I have many pictures if you would like more, please call or text. |
