It has a 26.5 mast, displaces 2,600lb. and carries 900lb. of ballast. Turva has sleeping accommodations for five people, with a double "V"-berth in the bow cabin, a straight settee in the main cabin and an aft berth on the port side. The galley is located on the starboard side just forward of the companionway ladder. The galley is L-shaped and is equipped with a two-burner, alcohol-fired stove, an ice box and a sink. The head is located just aft of the bow cabin on the starboard side. The interior is trimmed with teak. Countertops were replaced and a new faucet installed. Turva was completely rewired with tinned marine wire and new electronics installed. A Whale bilge pump with float installed. New cabin and navigation lights installed. New custom canvas sail covers (main and Jib), cabin, tiller, and winch covers. The running rigging was also replaced. An anchor roller was added to the bow to help with the 14lb. Delta anchor, 25 of chain and rope rode stored in bow chain locker. |
