NORWALK ISLAND SHARPIE 26 "Main Noire"

Designed by the legendary Bruce Kirby (designer of the Laser). Wood/epoxy construction, built 2010 by an experienced sailor, launched 2017. Professional AIMAQ/ABYC marine survey valued her at CAD $65,700 asking USD $21,500 (CAD $29,900). A true cult design: shallow draft, trailerable, go-anywhere wooden sailboat with soul. Not a production mold a proper character boat. HIGHLIGHTS - Bruce Kirby design - Cat-Ketch rig: two unstayed wooden masts, sprit-boom sails - Wood/epoxy flat-bottom hull, no osmosis - Retractable ballasted centerboard (draft 0.25 m to 1.8 m) - All-wood cabin interior, 3 fixed portholes per side - Hatch behind main mast - Only 2 owners - Wintered in Trois-Pistoles, Quebec - Trailer included CONDITION Full 27-page AIMAQ/ABYC marine survey available on request (May 2022).
