Specs 1984 Wellcraft Starwind 27 (also called Starwind 26.5 / 270). LOA 27'8", beam 9'8", draft 3'7" (shoal keel). Displacement 5,100 lbs, ballast 2,000 lbs. Masthead sloop, deck-stepped aluminum mast 34 ft above deck. Fiberglass hull, balsa-cored deck. HIN: WELE4605M84F.
What's good Currently floating in her slip in Lawrence, NY mast up, rigging stepped, easy to walk aboard. Furuno radar dome on the mast. Roomy wood-trimmed interior for a 27-footer. Slip is fully transferable to the buyer. Classic Jim Taylor hull sails well when sorted out.
What needs work Heavy gelcoat oxidation; deck needs cleaning; cosmetic restoration throughout. Inboard engine last service unknown, runs unknown sold AS-IS. All sails included, condition unknown please judge from photos. Standing rigging vintage unknown.
Project boat priced to move. Worth more than asking if you put a weekend of elbow grease in. Won't be worth fixing professionally buy her because you want to sail her, not flip her.
