17' B&B Yacht Designs Core Sound 17 Mk 1

Designed by B&B Yacht Designs in North Carolina, this boat is ready to sail today. The boat is well built from a kit supplied by B&B. Boat and trailer have current titles and registration. Lights, bearings and tires are good on the trailer.

This boat is very easy to setup since it has two smaller masts instead of one big one. It seats 4 adults comfortably, and can hold more if some are children. It can be sailed, rowed with the included oars, or motored. These boats have also been frequently used for fishing. A motor is not included, but I can get one for it. This type boat is very famous for competing in the Everglades Challenge, a 300 mile race from Tampa to Key Largo. There's plenty of information online and many videos on the race, and on this type of boat. The complete kit price is from $8,000 to $10,000, so this one is quite a bargain.

The hull, sails and rigging are in good condition. The sails are self-tacking, so it's an easy boat to sail. Each sail has two reefing points, so the boat can be sailed in a wide range of conditions.

This has been a good boat for me, but I have too many boats and must downsize. I'm willing to negotiate price with anyone that comes to see the boat in person. I can also deliver locally if paid in advance. I'm also willing to provide the buyer with a lesson on setup and sailing the boat if desired.
