33' Van Der Vlis Cumulant

For sale is 1972 Custom Steel Offshore Cruising Sailboat 33 ft sloop custom built in the Netherlands for offshore cruising. She is a full-keel masthead sloop with a heavy, solid feel and the kind of construction that makes her well-suited for offshore sailing and/or liveaboard cruising.

I have lived aboard and cruised her full-time for the last two years, sailing through the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. She has been a safe, comfortable, and dependable home on the water and has crossed the Atlantic a few times with the previous owner.

She is powered by a 2006 Nanni-marinized Kubota diesel engine, approximately 40 hp, and has a strong off-grid electrical setup with brand new of the following: 600Ah of lithium house batteries, Victron MPPT solar charge controller, and about 920 watts of solar on a welded stern arch.

She also has a brand new 2025 mainsail, a 2025 Harken roller furling system, 2025 Garmin chartplotter, VHF, inverter, Aries windvane self-steering, solar arch, and practical cruising gear.

This is an older steel cruising boat, but she has been kept in fantastic condition and only needs, in our opinion, some fresh deck paint.She would be a great boat for someone looking to live aboard, cruise the islands, or continue improving a capable offshore sailboat while using her.
