Designed by William Atkin as a Ocean capable long distance passage maker in the same style as the legendary Westsail 32 ( Colin Archer ) and Pacific Seacraft ( Bill Crealock ) with long keel and canoe stern , she is well respected amongst these sister ships. We have recently become the fourth set of owners ( January 2026 ) but our travel plans have changed for the coming season . Sailing this vessel is a real pleasure with her choice of sail plans for any winds , easy course keeping and heavy displacement meaning comfort in any sea . SailboatData and GoodOldBoat.com have her specifications .The Engine is a more recent Westerbeke 42hp with 1200 hours , running smooth and strong . We fitted a NEW stainless 2 burner stove and 2 NEW small propane tanks for our cruising earlier this year. A 4 man valise LIFERAFT , in 2022 is still within certification. We added a NEW Mercury outboard 3.3hp which can be used on a 9 foot rowing and sailing tender (fibre glass ) . There are 10 sails ( various older genoas and mizzen , main ) but there is a more recent set of sails (5 ) by North which have plenty of life left in them , in a couple of cases little used.
