Description:
This one of a kind Howard Chappelle Sharpie was built by the Sea Scouts.She was launched in 1960. At that time it was featured in Lakeland Boating.And praised by Mayor Daley.
Designed for young men to learn to sail safety features of 4 airtight tanks were built in. Also rigged as a Cat/ketch gave her more stability.
With 1880's design, two wood masts,and bronze fittings make her an eye stopper and a source of compliments.
