Description: |
Solidly built 1973 racer/cruiser with many upgrades.Excellent live-aboard. Very roomie with 6'6" head clearance below and tons of stowage space. Teak throughout the interior, but minimal in the cockpit (foldout dining table beautifully refinished with Epifanes varnish), and none on deck. All halyards, most control lines, and all dock lines are new. Fresh hull paint. See the long list of equipment, below. Strong Diesel engine is a Westerbeke W-40 (Perkins 4108) which starts immediately and sips fuel. This boat is very easy to manage. I single-handed her down to Miami from Deltaville, Virginia with only a short span in the ditch (ICW) from Norfolk to Beaufort, NC. The rest of the trip was open ocean. This boat spent most of its life on the Great Lakes. A previous owner from Minnesota did an expensive refit there and he and his wife sailed through the upper Great Loop to New England and down the East coast to the Caribbean where they spent 18 months island hopping before they returned to the Chesapeake Bay, which is where I happily discovered her in 2020. |
