For the discerning sailor or Cape Dory enthusiast: This is an incredibly rare, highly original, and uniquely well-kept Cape Dory 22 pocket cruiser. Designed by Carl Alberg, this vessel has spent its entire life strictly as a fresh-water lake boat (first on Lake Winnipesaukee, then on Lake Champlain, then on Ruedi Reservoir for one season). Its remarkable condition is the direct result of being INDOOR STORED every single winter since it was built in 1981, except for the last two year where it was meticulously covered and cared for.

The fiberglass gelcoat, teak trim, and hardware are totally original, smooth, and completely free of rot, soft spots, or pitting. Below decks, the cabin is impeccably clean, dry. I purchased this exceptional vessel two years ago from its meticulous long-term owner. This boat does not work well on my mountain lake with quick changing winds and small turning zones and I need to let it go to someone who lives in a different location. It is ready for its next dedicated caretaker.

The custom Triad trailer is fully road-ready with fresh bearings and tires, designed to handle long-distance highway towing. If you are a serious out-of-state buyer, I am willing to personally hitch up the boat and drive it directly to your driveway or marina anywhere in the continental U.S.

Terms: The buyer must cover the cost of a one way truck rental, the truck's fuel for the trip and purchase a one-way airline ticket to fly me back home to Colorado once the boat is safely delivered.
